About Us

Portobello Square Shopping Center was developed by Dr. Edward J. Lurie, a prominent business man and professional residing in Seminole, FL. Dr. Lurie has been involved in the development of several other successful projects in the immediate area: Suncoast Workshop/Warehouse Center, Pinellas Workshop Center, Mid County Showrooms and Workshops, Florida Workshop/Warehouse Center, and Oakhurst Suburban Center.

The shopping center was designed and engineered by the architectural firm of Concept's, Inc. and built by Hartman Construction. The center is a unique shopping complex which features intricate Spanish architecture and design. It's arched porticoes, resembling bell towers, is the center's trademark architectural feature. These porticoes also highlight the various levels and steps of the shopping center's sidewalks and walkways.
